After getting wood out of the ground, the Qadoom (adze) is used to manufacture Al Mehbash. Then it is painted by colors most of which are dark. The decoration of Al Mehbash includes inlaying it with silver or copper beads and carving it with various motifs. The rim of it is decorated with white metal It has different names like Azzam which implies the meaning determination, and it symbolizes generosity. It has been used as a musical instrument for Bedouin chants where the musician creates beautiful musical tones through the knocking of Al Mehbash with a pestle.
